Literally? At 3AM?
Is it pathetic to make decision based on feelings?
I have this whole conversations in my head whether it is pathetic to make decisions based on your and other's feelings. I kinda debated with myself on the thought that some people mostly think that making decision based on feelings is an irrational thing, or that's what I thought.
This whole debate started with me thinking about how my personality type changed from F to T. It means that I do make decisions based on facts and logic now than before. Of course, it was natural for us to have this fantasy to be this highly intelligent human capable on deciding whether something is right or wrong unfazed from any emotions. But sadly, we're all just human. As normal as fantasizing those things, it is also normal for us to consider other things in making decisions other than facts and logic.
Being a Thinking person doesn't make you indestructible on your own feelings. Not every INTJ and INTP is a cool badass person, not everyone is like your favorite character. In reality, everyone slips and make mistakes, we're all human after all. Being a Thinking person doesn't mean you have to make rational decision all the time. Honestly, I don't know a person who tried to be rational 24/7 that doesn't have fatigue. Being a Thinking person means, you are 'most likely' to make decisions based on facts and logic, but not everytime. In this times of rising media and technology, there are thousands of unverified facts and misinformations that can affect on people's own mind and logic. It was understandable that decisions made by facts and logic isn't always the right answer.
Some people think that making a decision based on feelings makes you a weak person. I know that when people say "you make decisions based on feelings" it sounds like "you're too emotional to make rational decisions". This reminds me of the rage on social media, all the memes and reposts saying "mind before heart". This kind of stereotypical thinking makes people want to disassociate themself in this kind of characteristics. Totally understandable. But just like other misunderstandings, being a Feeling Person doesn't always makes a person irrational and vulnerable. In my defense, it can be someone's strength.
I admire people that can understand other's feelings and make decision base on it. Considering their own feelings on making decisions means they know their likes and dislikes. Sometimes they have the advantage, because not all problems are solvable based on facts and logic, it's the truth. People who can understand their own and other's emotion are most likely the people who can emphatize with you. Having a High emotional intelligence is an intelligence not everyone can have and is hard to earn.
Apparently, this categorization of personality types is not there to manifest those characteristics unto yourself. It was there to guide you to know yourself more and to understand others. Aaand here I am, I'm really tired being up in 3am writing this verrry random thought. I don't even know why I'm thinking this, anyway.
Zzzzz
